Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including journal entries, ledgers, sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
Record and verify invoices, bills, vouchers, receipts, payments, and supporting financial documents.
Prepare and maintain VAT-related sales and purchase records and ensure proper documentation.
Perform online VAT filing through the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) website accurately and within the required deadlines.
Calculate, document, and support TDS filing and other applicable tax compliance activities.
Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports, statements, schedules, and management reports.
Perform regular bank reconciliation and identify and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable and maintain proper records of outstanding balances.
Maintain systematic filing of financial documents, tax records, invoices, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
Use MS Excel for data entry, reconciliation, financial analysis, reporting, and preparation of accounting schedules.
Assist in preparing documents and supporting schedules required for internal and external audits.
Coordinate with vendors, clients, internal departments, auditors, and relevant authorities regarding accounting and tax-related matters.
Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and applicable Nepalese tax and statutory requirements.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Specification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, BBS, BBA, or a related field.
Professional accounting or taxation training will be an added advantage.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
Practical hands-on experience in online VAT filing through the IRD website is mandatory.
Good understanding of VAT, TDS, income tax, and general taxation procedures.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial record management.
Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, reconciliation, data organization, and report preparation.
Knowledge of Tally, ERP, or other accounting software will be an advantage.
Familiarity with bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and audit documentation.
