Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties:

We are seeking an experienced IT Officer with a strong background in web development and website management to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and securing our company’s websites, ensuring smooth operation, and leading website development projects. You will collaborate closely with various departments, ensuring that our web presence aligns with business needs and user experience expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Management:
  • Manage, maintain, and update the company’s websites to ensure optimal performance, security, and user experience.
  • Regularly monitor website functionality, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with hosting providers when necessary.
  • Ensure that the website is mobile-friendly, responsive, and compatible across various browsers.
• Web Development:
  • Design, develop, and implement new web functionalities and modules as per the company’s needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create, update, and manage web-based applications, services, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using modern web development frameworks and practices (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.).
• Security & Compliance:
  • Implement security measures such as firewalls, backups, and updates to protect websites from cyber threats.
  • Regularly conduct website audits, vulnerability assessments, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure the website complies with GDPR and other data protection and accessibility regulations.
• User Support:
  • Provide technical support to internal teams regarding website usage, CMS functionality, and related IT concerns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website-related issues reported by users.
• Project Management:
  • Lead web development projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are updated on progress.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, designers, and freelancers for website improvements and integrations.
  • Document technical specifications and create user guides for web-based systems as necessary.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
