Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1.      Technical Support:

  • Provide on-site support to staff and students for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and networking problems.
  • Assist students during computer-based exams to ensure smooth functioning of systems.

2.      Hardware Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware such as desktops, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware malfunctions in a timely manner.

3.      Networking:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, and other network connections.
  • Ensure the security and efficiency of network operations, including connectivity during exams.

4.      System Updates and Setup:

  • Set up systems for classroom and exam use, ensuring software compatibility and updates are applied.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and configurations as needed.

5.      Exam Support:

  • Monitor and prepare computer labs for examinations, ensuring that all systems are operational and ready.
  • Provide immediate troubleshooting during exams to address technical difficulties faced by students.

6.      Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain records of IT inventory, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Report any recurring issues or system inefficiencies to the IT Manager or relevant authority.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of hardware and networking, including routers, switches, and LAN configurations.
    • Familiarity with Windows OS, basic troubleshooting, and antivirus solutions.
    • Knowledge of exam management software (added advantage).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students and staff.
    • Ability to work under pressure, especially during exam periods.
