Job Description:
  • Oversee the construction, operation, and maintenance of civil structures including Headworks (HW), Powerhouse (PH), and Headrace Tunnel (HRT).
  •  Supervise daily site activities and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. 
  •  Monitor the structural integrity and performance of hydraulic and civil infrastructure. 
  •  Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and rehabilitation works for civil structures. 
  •  Lead site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and technical teams to ensure efficient project execution. 
  •  Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, environmental regulations, and project policies. 
  •  Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and operation teams for smooth plant operation and maintenance activities. 
  •  Review technical reports, progress reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation. 
  •  Identify potential structural risks and implement corrective and preventive measures. 
  •  Support emergency response activities and ensure timely restoration of critical civil infrastructure.
Specification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in hydropower projects. 
  • Proven experience working on hydropower plants of 20 MW or above
  •  Strong technical knowledge of Headworks (HW), Powerhouse (PH), Headrace Tunnel (HRT), waterways, dams, intake structures, surge shafts, and related civil infrastructure.
  •  Sound understanding of hydropower construction practices, structural inspections, maintenance planning, and rehabilitation techniques. 
  •  Experience in managing site operations, contractor coordination, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. 
  •  Knowledge of quality assurance, safety regulations, environmental compliance, and construction standards. 
  •  Ability to prepare technical reports, work schedules, and maintenance plans. 
  •  Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. 
  •  Willingness to work at remote hydropower project sites and respond effectively during emergency situations.
